One problem we struggle with here at our office is what to do with our Japanese candy boxes after we have finished enjoying them! Then we stumbled upon this amazing DIY! This DIY explains how to make cute card or letter holders out of things like Pocky boxes. We were really amazed with this creativity. So, we wanted to help introduce this to people who cannot read Japanese! Please, check out the directions below. Enjoy crafting!

First, you will need:

  • An unopened Japanese snack box
  • Glue or double sided tape
  • Scissors
  • Letter paper or a card

So, to start, you need to open the snack box from the bottom and remove the delicious Japanese snacks inside.

Next, you need to cut the front edge on both the right and left side of the box.

After that, open the box and lay it out flat.

Then, you will cut the bottom corners of the back side.

Now, you will put your letter or card inside the box. Once you have done so, you will fold the outer flaps over the letter like in the picture above. Then, place glue or double-sided tape on the outer flaps.

Now, fold the front flap back over and stick it to the outer flaps you placed glue on in the step before. Then, let it dry and you are finished!

Now you have a finished kawaii Japanese candy or snack box card holder! So, when you are ready to hand over the letter or card, all the recipient needs to do is open the box like usual!

Isn't this such a cute idea! So, when are you going to make one?! Let us know how it goes in the comments below!
