Disney is one of the most popular and well known companies around the world, not to mention their theme parks! People travel around the world just to visit different Disney theme parks. Well, did you know that there are two you can visit in Japan? Disneyland and Disney Sea! This time we thought we’d take a look at Disneyland and recommend some of our top picks for rides at the park. Who wants to experience some Disney magic? 彡゚◉ω◉ )つー☆*

1. Splash Mountain

One of the most popular rides at Tokyo Disneyland, Splash Mountain is based on the Disney film 'Song of the South', which in turn is based on the Uncle Remus’ stories collected by Joel Chandler Harris. If you have a chance to visit Tokyo this summer and ready to get wet, Splash Mountain is the answer! ☁ ☝ˆ~ˆ☂

2. Space Mountain

For those who love the classic rides, your old favourite is here, Space Mountain! Arguably the most popular ride in Disneyland Tokyo, it’s understandable the lines for the rides are incredibly long…! ((;゚Д゚) It’s an indoor roller coaster ride, so perfect for those wetter days, it’s always ready to give you a high-speed journey through the galaxy!

3. Big Thunder Mountain

Have you ever ridden the Big Thunder Mountain? Opened 1987, Big Thunder Mountain still remains one of our favourite rides even now. It runs at ridiculously high speeds and gives a great feeling of speeding through the sky! Recommended for those speed freaks out there.

4. Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blaster

Based on the beloved character from the Pixar film Toy Story, this is a great ride for family. Everyone gets their own blaster and the aim is to try to get more points than your fellow players. The family rivalry in getting scores is the best thing in this ride and can get very wild!

5. Pooh’s Hunny Hunt

Pooh’s Hunny Hunt is interesting for being a somewhat unique trackless dark ride. It’s based on the 1977 Disney animated film The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and is Fantasyland's most popular attraction by far! Experience Pooh’s many adventures from the comfort of your own honey pot!

6. Peter Pan’s Flight

Peter Pan’s Flight is in several Disney locations across the globe, however this doesn’t make Tokyo Disneyland's version any less special! Opened in 1983, this ride has been helping children (and adults!) to fly through Neverland like they had only dreamed of doing before. In fact, in 2016 it was renovated too add even more magical fun and effects!

7. The Haunted Mansion

For those who prefer a little more spookiness in their rides, The Haunted Mansion is perfect for this! The version at Tokyo Disneyland, opened first in 1983, once again has a few special features setting it apart from the other versions abroad, but it still remains a spooktacular frightfest! Just be careful, as the ride may be closed for a few weeks in September in preparation for its transformation into the Haunted Mansion Holiday in time for Halloween!

8. Monsters, Inc. Ride and Go Seek!

Finally a newer entry for the final one on our list. Monsters, Inc. Ride and Go Seek! is an interactive dark ride that’s set after the titular film. Grab your flashlights and explore the world of Monsters, Inc. by spotting your favourite characters in the factory!

Well? What do you think of our list? Which of these rides would you just HAVE to ride? Have you been to any of the international versions of these rides before? Let us know the answers to all those awesome questions and more in the comments! ρ(^o^)♪
