One of the best parts about Tokyo is that it’s a haven for coffee drinkers of all shapes and sizes. Tokyo is famous for its bustling coffee culture; you won’t run out of coffee shops to visit. Whether you’re looking for specialty roasts or coffee-based cocktails, Tokyo is a true coffee haven!

From traditional coffee houses to trendy, aesthetic coffee shops, endless options exist for an afternoon pick-me-up. Whatever your brew of choice, Tokyo has it all — plus a few surprises. Here are some of the best coffee shops in Tokyo for coffee lovers.

Unlimited Coffee Roasters

It serves cracking coffee and delicious food. Its tasteful wooden finishes and twinkling fairy lights also look good. The walls are lined with their own branded merchandise, coffee beans, and coffee-making collection. A small bar area is found in the back of the space. Its location right by the Tokyo Sky Tree also makes it a worthy stop.

Unlimited Coffee Roasters has been awarded and recognized globally for making the best coffee cocktails. They have various options – drip coffee, espresso-based drinks, iced coffee, coffee tonics, and cocktails! It’s like a coffee shop and cocktail bar all in one. If you don’t drink alcohol, the cold brew with orange slices was so refreshing! They also offer a coffee flight to try their cold brew, tonic, and latte.

Glitch Coffee

Glitch Coffee has opened a new outlet in Tokyo and has a sleek new space in Ginza. This is hands down, one of the most impressive coffee shops you will find in Tokyo. When you enter this stylish coffee shop, someone walks you through the different coffee bean options. If you’re a coffee connoisseur, they even have rarer high-quality beans such as geisha coffee.

Take your pick from 15 varieties of single-origin coffee. You can choose from light roasts to dark roasts, coffee beans, and your brewing method. You can also do a flight of coffee if you’d like to try different types of coffee. The coffee here is meant to be drunk straight, though they provide sugar and milk if needed.

Don’t miss out on their special single-origin cocktail made by one of its baristas, who used to be a bartender. Combined with a fruity whisky, the cocktail has an insanely refreshing, acidic flavor of their iconic light-roast coffee.

Cafe Miel

Cafe Miel is a charming cafe located in the heart of Tokyo. It is best described as an antique shop-meets-cafe with a splash of British high tea vibes. Cafe Miel serves its coffee in fancy cups, making you feel like you’re hanging out with royalty.
