Anime Japan

Anime Japan 2025 will bring Japanese animation to life from March 22 to 25 at the Tokyo Big Sight Convention Center in Odaiba. This event is a dream come true for anime lovers, offering an exciting mix of exhibitions, live performances, cosplay, and more! While the first two days welcome the general public, the last two are reserved for industry professionals and media representatives.

This event fills eight huge halls, showcasing stunning booths from famous studios like Toei Animation and Bandai Namco. These booths often feature live shows, trailers, and visits from voice actors and anime creators. You can also attend many special stage events, including talk shows and concerts!

For cosplay fans, there’s an exclusive area where visitors can transform into their favorite characters after registering for a cosplay ticket. You’ll also find themed food at the lively Food Park, providing meals inspired by beloved anime characters.

Asakusa Samba Carnival

The Asakusa Samba Carnival is an exciting annual event held at the end of August in the historic Asakusa district. This energetic festival transforms the streets around Sensoji Temple into a dazzling display of Brazilian samba music and colors. The carnival began in 1981 to bring energy to the neighborhood and is now one of Tokyo’s favorite summer events.

The main highlight is the samba parade contest, featuring about 20 teams from Japan and Brazil. Each team showcases impressive floats, talented drummers, and dancers in amazing costumes with feathers, beads, and bright colors. Some teams even pick fun themes like “Star Wars”, adding a unique twist to their performances.

The parade travels down Kaminarimon-dori, where the rhythmic music and lively atmosphere delight everyone. For visitors, it’s a feast of sights and sounds with yummy food stalls and nearby shops offering lovely souvenirs. The carnival beautifully blends Brazilian culture with Japanese hospitality, creating a packed with joy, music, and breathtaking visuals!

Wheat Festival
