Japanese candy is our passion, but we also love keeping up-to-date with other food events going on in Japan. For example, the beef that went on between McDonalds Tokyo and McDonalds Osaka! McDonalds held a vote to see which city had a better limited-edition burger. Tokyo's burger was a roast beef burger. Osaka's burger was a beef katsu burger. So, this past month customers would chime in with their opinion and the results are out!
The winner, Osaka!! McDonald Osaka beat out McDonald Tokyo with a total of 51% of the votes. It was a close fight, but it seems the beef katsu was the winner! Secretly, we were rooting for the beef katsu as well! Better luck next time, McDonald Tokyo!
But, what is the reward for the winning burger? From August 22nd to September 5th, it will be sold across Japan at a discounted price! So, this benefits everyone rooting for the katsu burger!
It was a fierce fight for the burger crown. Many people cheered for McDonalds Tokyo. However, McDonalds Osaka came from behind and took the win! Well, we are excited to pair this burger with some delicious Japanese snacks during an office lunch break!
