Tsukuyomi: Moon Phase

Tsukuyomi Moon Phase is a story about a girl against the world. It’s not just any girl, though. She’s a fully fanged vampire who wears a snow-white dress complete with a set of cat ears. Tsukuyomi is about the relationship between Kouhei Morioka, a photographer, and Hazuki, a young vampire. As a vampire, she’s affected by the moon’s phases, having full strength and power in a full moon.

It turns out that Hazuki is being held against her will. She tries to turn Kouhei into her slave by sucking his blood, to have him help her escape. The full moon is often featured in the background, giving it a mysterious and mystical moonlight magic touch.

The Queen of Purple Planet and her evil group of Japanese robots took over the planet. Armed with water pistols and balloons, which melt the villains, Ricky and Gulliver restore Blue Hope to its doll-like owners. The most critical events and dramatic moments occur on this fun and thrilling trip beyond the moon!

Space Brothers

Another series with the lunar as a significant focal point is a beloved anime called Space Brothers. In it, two brothers named Mutta and Hibito Nanba swear as children to become astronauts. In 2025, Hibito successfully achieves this by becoming the first Japanese person to step on the moon.

Hibito keeps this promise, but Mutta eventually gives up and becomes a car salesman. Eventually, Mutta realizes it’s time to catch up and starts his journey to become an astronaut. Second chances, beautiful dreams, and the love of siblings are all the main elements that make this series so amazing. It’s a feel-good comedy about chasing your passions in life and dreams you thought were impossible.

Cowboy Bebop

Cowboy Bebop is undoubtedly one of the best sci-fi and space animes of all time. Thanks to its well-written story, the series was ahead of its time, from storyline and humor to well-developed characters. It all started with a massive explosion that caused a worldwide disaster on Earth.

The explosion destroys half of the moon and kills tons of people. Some people go to other planets, while the rest live underground because of the lunar pieces on the surface. The show follows a group of bounty hunters, known as cowboys, who travel together on a spacecraft to catch criminals. The film digs into unresolved issues of loneliness, boredom, and the influence of the main character’s past.
