Disney is one of the most popular and well known companies around the world, not to mention their theme parks! People travel around the world just to visit different Disney theme parks. Well, did you know that there are two you can visit in Japan? Disneyland and Disney Sea! This time we thought we’d take a look at Disney Sea, located not too far from Tokyo Disneyland! It opened on 4 September 2001, and is known to be a slightly more adult oriented version of the Disney theme parks thanks to the sale of beer and other alcohol on the premises. That doesn’t mean that there isn’t plenty of magic to be had for both children and adults here though. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

Here’s some of our top recommendations for some of the best rides at the park!

1. Jumpin’ Jellyfish

Have you ever been swimming underwater with the fishes and encountered a jellyfish? Maybe you’ve only seen them in pictures or on TV before and thought they were scary? You might even be stung by one, right? True, Jellyfish do have a pretty bad rep because of their ability to sting their attackers. But those regular jellyfish are pretty different from these one of a kind magic jellyfish! Tokyo Disneysea offers the chance to swim in a beautiful underwater kingdom full of colourful jellyfish that are guaranteed not to sting! You’ll float through the ocean on a cute seashell! This ride is pretty chill, designed to allow the rider to sit back and admire the adorable sights of under the sea. (ᗒᗨᗕ)

2. Journey to the Centre of The Earth

Ever wonder what it would be like to visit the centre of the world? Perhaps it is just one giant cave with tons of stalactites or there might even be a lost, secret civilization there? Tokyo Disneysea offers you the chance to see for yourself! The enigmatic genius Captain Nemo has unearthed a heretofore unknown world deep underground. During your journey on board a unique subterranean vehicle, the volcano suddenly shakes and erupts, taking you where even Captain Nemo has never been before.

3. Tower of Terror

In New York, 1912, there stands the hotel known as the "Tower of Terror," so called after the mysterious disappearance of its owner in 1899. Now, the New York City Preservation Society has finished restoring the infamous hotel, and started giving tours to the public. But what happens when you take an elevator to the top floor…? Tower of Terror will let you see with this thrilling experience! (゚□゚*川

4. DisneySea Transit Streamer Line

Take a ride on this steamer and enjoy a fun waterway adventure during the day, or even a romantic, starlit voyage in the evening. Riding DisneySea Transit Streamer Line might even give you some Carribean vibes if you visit in the Summer! It’s also one of the best chances to get an interesting view of all of Tokyo DisneySea from a completely different perspective!

The Tokyo DisneySea Transit Streamer Line also has several docks that can carry you out from one location in the park to another. So, you don’t have to always walk the road while out enjoying DisneySea!

5. Toy Story Mania!

Take a trip through Woody's wide open mouth (strange I know, but keep reading…) and you'll find that you've shrunk to the size of a toy! You’ll be greeted with a variety of carnival games set up under Andy's bed just waiting for you to try and have fun!

For a big Toy Story fan, this will be an unmissable attraction in Tokyo Disney Sea. You can enjoy being in Andy’s world for a short time, discovering just what it feels like to be the size of a toy. Who knows? You might be able to even meet some of your favourite Toy Story characters!

6. 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea

Home to an ancient, advanced civilization, Atlantis is said to have sunk to the bottom of the ocean a long ago. Some even say the people of that continent was inhabited and once it sank, those people adapted to the world beneath the waves. Board one of Captain Nemo's powerful submarine boats and join him in his undersea search for  the legendary City of Atlantis.

You can experience what it feels like to be part of Captain Nemo’s underwater world. This ride offers some seriously stunning views!

There you have it! These are just some of our suggestions from a myriad of amazing attractions that Disney Sea has on offer. Have you ever been there or is it your dream to visit one day? Are there any other rides that you’d recommend for people to try? One things for sure, it’s definitely a must visit if you find yourself in Japan! ヾ(≧∇≦)ゞ
