Ah, ramen~ One of Japan's most iconic dishes and Naruto's favourite food! You can't go far without finding a ramen shop, chain or locally owned in Japan either. There's also a ramen museum in Japan! Believe it or not, there's even a Spa Resort in Japan where you can bathe in Ramen!!! We know our Japanese snack crate subscribers are huge ramen fans too! But other than ramen, what else is Japan known for? Being weird. So we found some weird, unusual and crazy ramen flavours for you to ogle at! Would you dare to try any of these?
Tomato Yogurt Ramen. Usually we associate yogurt with anything sweet, but it's ramen right? So it must be savoury? We're imagining a creamy tomato soup with this one, but who knows!
Curry Yogurt Ramen. From the same series as the previous Tomato Yogurt Ramen, we're hoping that this is a mild curry and not a sweet yogurt curry. Japan can't handle spice so its no wonder they've combined these two!
Chocolate Yakisoba. Okay, okay we know this is yakisoba and not ramen but it was crazy so we had to include it! We can only imagine that this is intended as a desert noodle? After all Japan is home to desert pizza!
Cheese Hamburger Ramen and Hot Dog Ramen. Something for the American patriots! Fushion food is popular in many countries but does this count? It counts right? Right…? Cheeseburgers and Hot Dogs are delicious nonetheless, so we're guessing you can't really go wrong with combining them with ramen!
What did you think of these crazy ramen flavours? Would you like to see these in your Japanese snack box? What's the craziest flavour you can think of? Let us know in the comments!
