We here at TokyoTreat admire how Japanese people use Japanese snacks to be incredibly creative. For instance, using sushi for art or transforming left over snack boxes into letter holders! However, when we came across twitter user uukanuba's absolutely stunning edible food art, we were speechless. Using popular manga and anime characters as inspiration for her work, we were entranced by all the beautiful images on her twitter feed. So, are you ready to check out some of the insanely detailed work?
So, are you left speechless too?! The shading, the details, the linework….it's all on point and it is driving us insane! We can't even begin to imagine how much effort went into this work! Not only that, but these are 100% edible as well!
We wonder what she uses to create these artworks. Still, we want to just sink our teeth into these Japanese snacks after we've taken in the wonderful work!
Uukanuba uses various manga and anime as basis for her works. Just look at how precisely she manages to recreate this Tokyo Ghoul manga cover! Absolutely. Breath. Taking. The colors are mixed so well and the shading is perfection.
Also, she even has drawn some well known anime characters like the one above from Eureka Seven! We only wish we had a tenth of the talent shown here. We do wonder if each color is a different flavor, or if it just the color that has changed? If only we could taste this to try it out!
So, did these artworks leave you stunned as well? If so, be sure to click follow on uukanuba's profile to see more of these amazing pieces! Also, be sure to tell us in the comments below which of her works you love the most!
