Visitors to Okinawa Island have another destination to add to their bucket list. Its newest amusement park, Junglia, opens on July 25, 2025! This attraction promises adventure, excitement, and feasts for the eyes, stomach, and soul. (There may or may not be dinosaurs involved.)
We’ll take you on a quick trip through the park’s highlights before Opening Day, explaining how to get there and where to buy tickets. Join us on this sneak peek of Junglia, Okinawa Island!
It’s not just a jungle-themed park: Junglia is a park set in a jungle! It’s located in northern Okinawa Island’s Yambaru (or Yanbaru) forest. This ecosystem is home to over 4000 plant and animal species and is considered some of Asia’s last subtropical rainforests. With Yambaru National Park established in 2016 and added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2021, locals, conservation groups, and Junglia staff are dedicated to preserving this area and everything that lives and grows in it.
If you rent a car on Okinawa Island, free parking and reservation-only spots are available at Junglia. There are also separate spots for guests who only use the Spa (more on that later!). But don’t worry if you’re using public transportation: the Junglia Express connects the park to transportation hubs in Naha City (including the airport and ferry terminal), the Onna Resort, the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, and most official hotels. Note that the bus is currently reservation-only.
There are tons of options for visitors looking to soar through the heights. From trekking the treetops and bungee jumping to floating in a hot-air balloon and whizzing on the zipline, you can become one with the birds at Junglia.
Looking for a more grounded option? Then check out our Buggy Voltage rides. The Fun Adventure Course takes you on a gentle ride through nature, while the Adventure Challenge Course will keep you on your toes with its surprise-filled route.
Where there’s a jungle, there’s bound to be dinosaurs! Junglia has two options for dino lovers: an exciting escape from the fearsome Tyrannosaurus Rex, or a more relaxing search for a missing baby dinosaur.
Junglia isn’t just about rides and thrilling experiences. Its spa is home to the world’s biggest public infinity bath. Other facilities include a sauna, a gazebo, and a natural hot spring. It’s open for all occasions, whether it’s a family trip, an all-girls weekend, or a honeymoon.
For a fancy dinner, treat yourself to Tropical Oasis. Panorama Dining pairs delicious food with gorgeous views, while Wild Banquet offers a buffet-style meal with Okinawa dishes. Finally, the Food Cart’s snacks will keep everyone satisfied and returning for more.
Finally, Junglia has many opportunities to dance to tropical music and splash away the heat and humidity. If you come in the evening or stay until late, you’ll even catch the dazzling colors of the hanabi (fireworks), a perfect end to the perfect day.

For international guests, there are several ticket options: 1 Day (8800 JPY, $60 USD), Spa (3080 JPY, $21 USD), Park & Spa 1 Day (11,880 JPY, $81 USD), and Premium (990-2970 JPY, $7-$20 USD). The last one is the best since it allows you to experience everything Junglia offers without waiting in line or getting a numbered ticket.
Tickets can be purchased on-site or online, and tourists can buy them on KLOOK, KKday, or Trip.com. Some attractions require a free numbered ticket, which will be available once you register your 1-Day Pass on Junglia’s Official App. Again, buying one or more of the 17 Premium Pass options means you won’t need to complete this step.
Okinawa is no stranger to amusement parks, but Junglia is unique thanks to its rainforest theme. You can hunt for dinosaurs, soak in a mineral bath, and dance to island music all on the same day. There’s something for everyone to enjoy!
More importantly, visiting Junglia allows you to explore an underrated part of Japan. The Yarumba forest is beautiful and a vital habitat for Okinawa’s most endangered species. You’ll have fun and learn more about this vital ecosystem.
As of July 25, 2025, Okinawa Island is home to gorgeous beaches, mouthwatering dishes, and a jungle-themed amusement park. From high-flying rides to musical and culinary experiences, Junglia aims to immerse its visitors in everything the region offers, especially the Yarumba Forest. We hope our readers can experience these adventures when the attraction opens this summer. Are you planning to check out Junglia? Tell us in the comments.
