Earlier this month Starbucks Japan released this Caramelly Pear Frappuccino and of course we had to rush out and try it straight away! August saw the delicious Matcha Smores Frappuccino and now September is coming through with great flavour combinations too! Though normally Starbucks only releases one limited edition drink a month, this month they're releasing 3!!! So as soon as we heard about the 2nd drink in this special Artful Autumn series, and it being sweet potato flavour, we knew we had to try! When it comes to autumn, all the Japanese snacks and Japanese candy release special limited edition fall flavours, and Japan certainly loves its baked sweet potatoes in fall.
And here it is, the Crispy Sweet Potato Frappuccino! The drink itself uses a delicious sweet potato sauce, whilst mixed through the drink and sprinkled on top are caramelised sweet potato chunks!
This time round the lovely Jojo accompanied us to try the new frappuccino and show it off in stylish glory! As for the drink itself it definitely tasted like sweet potato, very sweet though but the caramelised sweet potato on top was a nice touch.
Same as the Caramelly Pear, we also got a special limited edition wristband! But we'll be gifting this to our office Starbucks fanboy…
There's still a 3rd drink to be released in the series, so we'll eagerly await its announcement! However, we've noticed that a lot of chestnut flavour Japanese snacks and Japanese candies have been making their way onto shelves here, so we have an inkling the 3rd drink might be chestnut flavoured!
What do you think of this sweet potato flavour frappuccino? Would you like to try it too or are you not a fan of sweet potato? Let us know in the comments!
